Paul Martin
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Martin is a mining executive who has extensive experience at the CEO, CFO and director level, with over thirty years’ involvement in challenging and changing corporate environments. He has gained significant experience thru his various roles at multi-operational mining, royalty and exploration companies listed on the TSX, TSX – V and NYSE.
He presently serves as the Chair of the Board of Red Pine Exploration and a director of Osisko Bermuda Limited. Mr. Martin recently was interim CEO at both Osisko Royalties from July to December 2023 and at Red Pine Exploration from March to August 2024, during transitions in CEOs.
He was previously CFO at Detour Gold Corporation from 2008-2013 and then President & CEO from 2013 until 2018. He played a significant role in the senior executive team that permitted, completed a bankable feasibility study, financed, constructed and brought into operation the large-scale Detour Lake gold mine.
He has worked in various senior financial roles at New Gold Inc., Gabriel Resources Ltd and TVX Gold Inc. He holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and is a CPA, CA.
